We are thrilled to welcome James T. Harris, Esq. (UPS retired Corporate Counsel) to our Board! James brings 30 years of experience practicing law in both private practice, and as an in-house attorney for UPS. His stellar, long history of community service aligns with our mission.
James Harris (UPS Retired Corporate Counsel) has 30 years of experience practicing law in both private practice and as an in-house attorney for UPS. In his law practice, he has provided services in the areas of intellectual property, advertising, sponsorships, entertainment, technology and business contracts. Mr. Harris is a U.S. registered patent attorney. He has also served as a Commissioner on the Illinois Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness and as an adjunct professor at Columbia College in Chicago.
Before practicing law, Mr. Harris has worked as a project engineer for General Motors. He received his law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee State University and obtained an M.B.A. at Emory’s Goizueta School of Business.
